Dear UIA society member,

I am writing to update you on actions taken to address the strategic issues facing the Society which were approved at the AGM (September 2022).

These changes meant that, on expiry of your existing policy, your insurance needed to be moved to another insurer as UIA (Insurance) Limited (trading as UIA Mutual) (the Society) no longer offered insurance.

At renewal of your policy, you will have the been given the option to renew your policies with a leading insurance supplier that now carries the UIA brand and values. From 15th July 2022 the Society stopped taking on new business or renewals and if your policy was due to auto-renew (e.g. by direct debit) this did not happen and you were informed that you must make alternative arrangements.

We want to thank our members for their custom and support of the Society over the years. In particular, we also want to thank our employees for their dedication to delivering high levels of service and a smooth transition of the business at an unsettling time, it is very much appreciated.

UIA (Insurance) Ltd. Notice of Annual General Meeting 2024

The Annual General Meeting of UIA (Insurance) Ltd (the Company) will be held via Teams on Tuesday 16th July 2024 at 11am.

Members are advise that the proposed motions for the Annual General Meeting, other than a motion submitted by the Board, must be received in writing by the Company Secretary at support@uia.co.uk or at the address below by Monday 24th June 2024. Members as of 25th June 2024 will be able to vote at the AGM meeting. A printed copy of the 2023 Annual Report and Accounts will be available on request from the Chief Executive Officer, UIA (Insurance) Limited, 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF.
